C’era una volta OLPC

C’è’ molta confusione sottto il cielo. La prossima generazione di OLPC laptop di Negroponte a quanto pare sarà’ un ebook reader. Costera’ 75 dollari e uscira’ nel 2010. Solo qualche giorno fa la medesima ondivaga fondazione ha annunciato che OLPC passa a Windows XP. La ragione ufficiale di questa scelta – ha dichiarato al NYT Negroponte – sarebbe che i PC li acquistano i governanti e questi si trovano meglio con XP’

“The people who buy the machines are not the children who use them, but government officials in most cases,” said Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the nonprofit group. “And those people are much more comfortable with Windows.”
